Smudging:
Smudging is a sacred ritual done to cleanse or purify a person or space by burning medicinal or sacred plants.
There are four sacred plants used for smudging. These four plants are cedar, sage, sweetgrass, and tobacco.
These plants can be combined with other herbs for smudging.
Items needed:
Abalone shell or fire safe container
Stand or Heat proof mat (to sit shell or container on)
Eagle or Turkey feather
Herb bundle of choice
Matches or lighter
Smudging your home or yourself:
Smudging is specific to a certain person, space, or specific belief. Smudging can be done as often as daily to cleanse yourself or space of negative energy to replace with positive energy.
When smudging think good thoughts, set intentions, and give thanks.
Always use a feather or your hand to move the smudging smoke. Never blow the smoke or sage as blowing on
the sage is said to blow your spirit away.
*Always take caution when burning.

Fire = Fire
Smoke = Air
